Leonard moves in slow motion, but lives in a normally-paced world.
The world is increasingly faster for everyone, but what happens when you live in slow-motion? A bathroom break might take 20 minutes, not including the cleaning. And sex? Slow it would be fine, but nhow about “super slow”? This is the strange case, the strange life of our protagonist Leonard. He just can not keep up with the world around him. The fact is this the condition raises a number of problems, not only related to working, but especially sentimental.
In fact, when Leonard discovers that his office crush is going to be moved to Florida, Leonard decides that he must somehow reach a normal pace and try to win the heart of his beloved one before she leaves town forever. And the opportunity to accelerate is offred by the TV, in the form of an illegal energy drink… Will Leonard be able to handle the pace?
Leonard in Slow Motion is a very entertaining and smart short film very by director Peter Livolsi, known for having directined Emmy winner short Duncan Removed. Together with his friend Martin DixHe, they work under the pseudonym “Peter Martin.” They’ve been doing advertising stuff for big companies like McDonald’s and HBO. The two met at a party a few years ago and found to share the same idea of story-telling and directing. Since then, they have always worked together.
