Tom Hardy stars as Sergeant Dan in this short film that marks the directorial debut of photographer Greg Williams. His decision to enlist in the Foreign Legion will have an impact on his younger brother, Keith, and on their relationship. Dan, the stronger and more authoritarian brother, and his bellicose temperament dominate the weaker and fearful nature of Keith , a weak and clumsy teenager. The two fight, argue, yell at each other, as Dan constantly avoids to confess his enlistment in the Foreign Legion to his parents. However, despite the constant bickering, Dan – in its own wild, eccentric and perhaps a little “out of this world” way – is always protective and caring towards his brother. Williams, on his first narrative short, delivers a story that shows the inherent love that lies beneath some frequent family dynamics. A relationship that at first sight might seem so violent and troubled, can actually uncover great complicity and affection.
