Cinematics – by Pier Paolo
A funny visual timeline of classic films and characters
A boring evening? Let’s challenge your friends to recognize all the films quoted in Cinematics. The experimental short film directed by Brazilian illustrator and animator Pier Paolo, in his spare time, is a funny timeline of the history of cinema.
Cinematics consist of a minimalist animation, made in computer graphics, completed by a specially font designed and created for the project and a particular soundtrack composed by Marcelo Baldin, who has remixed and reassembled creatively the most famous themes of the cult movies (with a pinch of Aphex Twin’s Donkey Rhubarb).
Cinematics is one way to confirm that the philosophy of “less is more” can be a great creative inspiration.comments powered by Disqus
