Eat My Shit
The moving story of a girl whose butthole is where her mouth should be.

Samantha (Anna Marìa Polverosa) has taken a selfie of her face and posted it on Instagram, but it has been censored and deleted for alleged “sexual content”. What’s wrong with her? Her face is not like other faces. It turns out she was born with a hairy butthole located where her mouth should be. Samantha did not choose to be born this way and she is sick of people’s laughs. Also at the restaurant, a mean waitress (Itziar Castro) with an Iron Maiden T- Shirt can’t help to mock her. Possibly she will take advantage of her own oddity to take revenge…
Eat My Shit, from talented 23-year-old Spanish director Eduardo Casanova, proves you don’t need big budget and a long runtime to tell a story which is funny, witty, gripping and thought-provoking. Ideas like this are perfect for the short format, in fact it gone rapidly viral in Spain, France, the United Kingdom.
Besides the immediate rejection we can have towards Samantha’s butt-holed face, still we can identify with her condition as the short ultimately speaks of the sense of esclusion everyone experienced at least once in a life time. Also the short works as an meaningful commentary on social-media censorship, and the title might be adopted as a pride motto against the all assholes of the world!
Eat My Shit won the New Talent Award at the JamesonNotodofilmfest 2015.
