Nine days of screenings, premieres, events, concerts, workshops, artistic performances and meetings. This year (from 24 July to 1 August, 2020) marks the sixteenth edition of Lago Film Fest, the International Festival of Independent Cinema. There is nothing to do: Lago with its programme confirms as a an absolute godsend for fans of short and documentary films.
Founded in 2005 in the daily urban metabolism of the fascinating lake town of Revine Lago, in the province of Treviso, Lago Film Fest wants its audience to live a unique and “out of time” experience. This is, together with Concorto, one of the best short film festivals in Italy.
This is the “Woodstock of short films,” according to the organisers, which proposes a bellyful of though-provoking and breathtaking shorts, including the participations of special guests (directors and artists coming from all over) on the lake shores.
As every year the Festival has launched the Call for submissions. There are 5 sections: International Competition, National Competition, New Signs (experimental short films), Veneto Region (for local directors), and Unicef Competition (for Kids and Teens).
Registration is simple and quick: read carefully the regulation , fill the online entry form and wait for the confirmation email. No fee required: you have until February 10th 2020 to submit your film. The official site provides you with every information necessary to help you.
